Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan is not holding back when it comes to criticizing the BJP’s central leadership. In a recent statement, he drew parallels between the alleged betrayal of Uddhav Thackeray in 2019 and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde in the current assembly elections, without directly naming Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Chavan, speaking after meeting with senior social activist Dr. Baba Adhav, expressed concerns about the delay in forming the government despite the Mahayuti securing a clear majority. He pointed out visible internal contradictions within the Mahayuti and accused the BJP of undermining its allies.
The former CM also took aim at BJP leader Ashok Chavan’s recent comments claiming the Congress had secured more than 100 seats under his leadership. Prithviraj Chavan refuted this, citing the “Modi wave” during his tenure as a significant factor in the Congress party’s declining performance.
It’s clear that Chavan is not holding back when it comes to calling out what he sees as corruption and abuse of power in Indian democracy. With elections allegedly compromised through financial corruption and the misuse of power, he is raising important questions about the state of democracy in the country. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
