Hey Punekars! It looks like our city is facing some serious traffic issues lately. With the number of vehicles on the roads increasing rapidly, along with encroachments, potholes, and unnecessary speed breakers, it’s no wonder we’re seeing more congestion and accidents.

But fear not, because the civic body, police, and social organisations are working together to find a solution to these problems. Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil recently revealed that measures are being taken to improve traffic conditions on 32 major roads in Pune.

From Solapur Road to Sinhagad Road, and Shastri Road to Senapati Bapat Road, these key areas are being targeted for improvements such as one-way traffic, U-turns, and better signal systems. The project is set to kick off on August 15, with the hope of easing traffic woes for residents in Boat Club, Koregaon Park, and Kalyani Nagar.

But it’s not all up to the authorities – citizens also have a role to play in easing traffic congestion. By following traffic rules, not parking in no-parking zones, and not encroaching on roads, we can all help make our city a safer place to drive.

So let’s all do our part to make Pune a better place to live and drive. And remember, if you see any traffic violations or issues, you can contact the control room at 020-266840000 or send a message on WhatsApp at 8087240400. Let’s work together to keep Pune moving smoothly!
