Pune Airport has been making waves in the aviation industry with its recent ASQ performance highlights. The airport saw a slight increase in its rating from 4.81 in Q2 to 4.84 in Q3, showing an overall improvement in passenger satisfaction.
Among the 31 parameters assessed in the ASQ survey, Pune Airport saw positive changes in areas such as ease of access to the airport, navigation inside the terminal, and walking distance within the facility. However, there were also three parameters that witnessed a decline, including value for money for the selected mode of transport, waiting time at border/passport control, and ease of connecting to other flights.
In response to the decline in the “value for money for transport” parameter, a senior Pune Airport official defended the airport’s parking charges, highlighting that they are lower compared to private airports like Delhi and Mumbai. Additionally, the issue of waiting time at border/passport control was addressed by explaining the recommended arrival time for passengers and the importance of not rushing the credential checks process.
Despite these challenges, Pune Airport continues to outperform the global average in ASQ ratings, with a score of 4.84 compared to the world average of 4.32 in Q3. The airport’s MOU target for 2024 is set at 4.68, indicating that it has already surpassed the benchmark by 0.16 points.
Overall, Pune Airport’s continuous efforts to improve its services and address weaker parameters demonstrate its commitment to enhancing passenger experience. With a focus on climbing further in global rankings, the airport aims to maintain its position as a leader in providing top-notch services to travelers.
