If you’re a frequent traveler through Pune Airport’s AeroMall, get ready for some changes coming your way next week. All PIN-based cab services will be relocated to the first floor, making it easier for passengers to catch a ride quickly and efficiently.

According to YS Rajput, Vice President of AeroMall, the goal of this reorganization is to streamline the cab pickup process and reduce confusion among travelers. Ola and Uber have already introduced PIN-based services for specific categories, allowing passengers to skip the wait and get a cab right away.

Despite the PIN system being in place for over a month, some passengers have still experienced delays in securing rides. The new setup on the first floor aims to alleviate these issues by bringing all PIN-based cabs together in one location for easier access.

In addition to Ola and Uber, a new service called Cab-E will also be available for on-the-spot bookings on the first floor. To accommodate this change, commercial vehicle parking will be moved to the fourth floor to make more space for cab pickups.

While the PIN system has its benefits, some travelers have raised concerns about long wait times and higher fares for certain categories. One passenger reported waiting over 40 minutes for a cab, while another pointed out the significant price difference between PIN-based segments and regular cabs.

An anonymous airport official acknowledged that peak hours, bad road conditions, and waterlogging can contribute to delays in cab arrivals, particularly late at night when multiple flights are landing.

Overall, these new measures are designed to provide a smoother experience for passengers and address the congestion issues that have been affecting cab pickups at Pune Airport’s AeroMall. Stay tuned for more updates as these changes go into effect next week.
