1. Pune Airport is all set to unveil its new Integrated Terminal Building on July 14, 2024, with an inauguration ceremony led by Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation, Murlidhar Mohol. This marks a major milestone in the city’s aviation infrastructure.
  2. The inaugural flights from the new terminal will be Air India Flight AI – 858 to Delhi at 4:00 PM and Air India Express Flight I5 320 to Bhubaneswar at 4:10 PM. This signals the beginning of operations at the state-of-the-art facility, with other airlines gradually moving their operations to the new building.
  3. Pune Airport has introduced revised traffic movement guidelines to ensure a smooth transition during the concurrent operation of both terminal buildings. Passengers heading to the new terminal will use designated left lanes for departures, while incoming passengers will use right lanes for arrivals. Vehicles leaving the new terminal can exit via routes leading to Viman Nagar road or Symbiosis/Lohegaon road.
  4. Operations at the existing terminal building will remain unchanged, maintaining familiarity for passengers. Traffic flow will be synergized, with vehicles departing from the existing terminal seamlessly merging into the arrival lane of the new terminal for efficient movement. Exit routes for vehicles departing from the existing terminal include options towards Viman Nagar road or Symbiosis/Lohegaon road for optimal traffic dispersal.
