Hey there, folks! Big news for all you travelers out there – international flights at Pune Airport will now be operating from the swanky new terminal building. Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Pune MP, Murlidhar Mohol, made the announcement, hailing it as a major upgrade for the city’s aviation scene.
According to Mohol, the move will bring greater convenience and improved facilities for passengers. All the necessary technical approvals have been sorted out, and Mohol even personally checked in with airport authorities to make sure everything is running smoothly.
Pune Airport Director Santosh Dhoke confirmed the switch, noting that international flights will now be handled at the new terminal building, while domestic flights will continue to use the old terminal for now. The transition of domestic operations will happen gradually to prevent any hiccups in service.
Right now, Pune Airport handles about 23 flights, including five direct international routes to hotspots like Dubai, Bangkok, and Singapore. IndiGo, SpiceJet, Air India Express, and Air India are the carriers flying these routes.
The new terminal boasts upgraded facilities, including more immigration counters to speed up the processing of international travelers. And don’t worry, domestic travelers – your time to enjoy the new terminal will come soon enough.
So get ready to experience a smoother and more efficient travel experience at Pune Airport with this exciting terminal switch-up. Safe travels, everyone!
