Pune: ATM Fraudster Targeting Senior Citizens Arrested, ₹14 Lakh Seized Along with 166 ATM Cards With Help of Police Operation

1. A senior citizen was duped at an ATM in Ganjave Chowk on February 2, sparking an investigation by the police.
2. The police used technical surveillance to track down the culprit, Kulkarni, who had fled to Karnataka after the incident.
3. With the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police Praveenkumar Patil and other officials, a police team successfully apprehended Kulkarni in Karnataka.
4. The arrest was made possible by the efforts of Senior Inspector Vijaymala Pawar, Crime Branch Inspector Arun Ghodke, and their team.
5. Kulkarni has been involved in 16 similar crimes in various areas, including Bibwewadi, Sinhagad Road, Kothrud, and Vishrantwadi.
6. According to DCP Gill, Kulkarni spent the stolen money on leisure activities with a female companion.
7. The police disclosed that Kulkarni targeted senior citizens, especially around the time when pension amounts are deposited, by closely monitoring ATM centers for potential victims.
