The police have recently filed a case against five individuals, including Naina Ajwani, a Punjab National Bank Manager, Surender Shahani, Satish Punjabi, a jewellery shop owner, and two unidentified suspects. The charges against them include abetting and conspiring to commit an offence, dishonest concealment of property, abetting the commission of an offence, exposure and abandonment, and protection of action taken in good faith.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities are reviewing CCTV footage and interrogating potential suspects. Deputy Commissioner of Police Smartana Patil and Assistant Commissioner Deepak Nikam were seen at the bank overseeing the investigation. Senior Police Inspector Girish Dighavkar confirmed, “We have checked CCTV footage and are investigating further.”

This incident has sparked concerns about bank security and accountability. Efforts are being made to recover the stolen assets and hold those responsible accountable. It underlines the importance of implementing stronger security measures and monitoring bank lockers to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
