The Pune Divisional Board is cracking down on cheating at exam centers by replacing Supervisors and Center Directors at 264 centers with a history of malpractice. This move is part of the Chief Minister’s 100-Point Program to ensure fair board examinations.

Initially facing resistance from various education associations and teacher MLAs, the Board has revised its strategy to only target centers with documented incidents of irregularities. The highest number of cheating cases were reported in Ahilyanagar for both Class 10 and Class 12 exams.

In addition to personnel changes, the Board is mandating the installation of CCTV cameras in all exam centers to improve security. Flying squads will also be deployed to monitor centers during exams, with sitting squads maintaining strict vigilance.

Authorities have issued a stern warning that any exam center caught cheating will have its license permanently revoked. With these measures in place, the Board aims to conduct cheating-free examinations and uphold the integrity of the education system.
