Hey Pune peeps, big news coming your way! Former MLC Anil Bhosale, who has been in jail for the past three years in connection with the Shivajirao Bhosale Co-operative Bank embezzlement case, has finally been granted bail by the Bombay High Court. But hold on, his legal troubles might just be getting started with the recent arrest of Mangaldas Bandal, former chairman of the Pune Zilla Parishad’s construction department, by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

The Pune Police’s Economic Offence Wing uncovered a whopping embezzlement of Rs 433 Crore and 44 Lakh, leading to Bhosale’s arrest three years ago. And let me tell you, it’s not just Bhosale in the hot seat – there are bank managers and others involved in this mess too. An 8,000-page charge sheet was filed on 6th September 2021, listing all the allegations against Bhosale, Bandal, and the rest of the crew.

While Bandal got bail a while back, Bhosale had his bail applications rejected four times by the sessions court. But guess what? The Bombay High Court has finally come to his rescue, granting him bail under some strict conditions. And just when you thought things couldn’t get more interesting, the ED went ahead and raided properties linked to Bandal yesterday, leading to his arrest. Could Bhosale be next in line for some ED questioning? Stay tuned, Pune!
