Well, well, well, looks like the party was still going strong at the Bombay High Restobar in Bavdhan, despite the clock ticking well past closing time. The Pimpri-Chinchwad police decided to crash this party and boy, did they make an entrance.
Led by Deputy Commissioner of Police Vishal Gaikwad, a team of officers swooped in on the establishment in the early hours of Sunday morning. The place was buzzing with activity, with a sea of vehicles parked outside and a bouncer at the door trying to keep the officers at bay. But the police weren’t having any of it and barged in to find the party in full swing.
Not only were they serving up food and alcohol way past the legal hours, but they were also blasting music at a volume that would make your eardrums beg for mercy. And just when they thought they had seen it all, the officers stumbled upon a hidden room filled with hookah pots and smoking pipes galore.
The police didn’t waste any time and seized everything in sight – from music systems to furniture to CCTV DVRs, with an estimated value of almost ₹10 lakh. And to top it all off, they slapped charges on the owner, manager, and an unidentified bouncer for violating a laundry list of laws.
Looks like the party at Bombay High Restobar came to an abrupt end, courtesy of the Pimpri-Chinchwad police. Moral of the story? When the law comes knocking, it’s time to call it a night.
