Hey Pune peeps, did you hear about the chaos at the airport yesterday? Over 200 passengers on flight AI-849 were left hanging at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport for more than five hours because there were no pilots available. Talk about a major inconvenience!
The flight was supposed to take off at 3:55 PM, but it just kept getting delayed. One passenger mentioned that the airline first announced a delay at 3:10 PM, pushing the departure time to 5:00 PM. But surprise, surprise, the flight still didn’t leave on time.
Apparently, the ground staff spilled the beans and revealed that the reason for the delay was the absence of pilots. Yikes! And to make matters worse, the dense fog in Delhi and other cities caused even more delays for other flights, creating a domino effect.
Finally, after hours of waiting, the flight took off at 9:10 PM and landed in Pune around 11:00 PM – way later than the original arrival time of 6:05 PM. Talk about a long day!
Passengers were understandably frustrated with the lack of updates and the inconvenience caused by the delay. Hopefully, the airlines will get their act together next time and avoid leaving people stranded at the airport.
