Hey Pune peeps, big news coming your way! The Cantonment Court, which has been around since the British Era, is getting a new home at the Pune Municipal Corporation’s Mahatma Phule Sanskrutik Bhavan in Wanawadi. Why the move, you ask? Well, turns out the current premises are getting a bit too old and cramped for comfort.

But don’t worry, this is just a temporary arrangement. The court will start operating from its new digs starting Thursday morning. And guess who’s going to be there to kick things off? Chief District Judge Mahendra Mahajan and Pune Bar Association President Adv Santosh Khamkar will be there to grace the occasion.

For those who don’t know, the Cantonment Court deals with cases from Hadapsar, Lashkar, Wanawadi, Kondhwa, and Mundhwa police stations. And get this, there are about 30,000 cases waiting to be heard. That’s a lot of legal drama!

So, if you’re in the area and curious to see the court in action at its new location, be sure to swing by Wanawadi. It’s not every day you get to witness a piece of history being moved to a new spot. Exciting stuff, right?
