Hey there, Pune folks! Big news coming your way – four individuals have been convicted and sentenced in a major human trafficking case by the Pune District and Sessions Court. The case, which dates back to 2021 and was originally registered at Bhor Police Station, involved some serious charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, POCSO Act, and Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
Judge K.D. Shirbhate didn’t hold back when it came to handing down the sentences. Komal Sunil More alias Kore and Reshma Mahesh Gaikwad alias Reshma Surose found themselves facing multiple sentences, including some hefty prison time and fines. Sunil Brijlal Kori and Jasaram Bhayaram Sutar weren’t spared either, receiving their fair share of jail time and fines.
The whole investigation was led by Police Inspector Pravin More, with then Deputy Superintendent of Police Dhananjay Patil providing guidance. Public Prosecutor Nitin Konghe made sure the government’s case was solid in court.
Superintendent of Police Pankaj Deshmukh kept a close eye on the court proceedings, with support from District Court Pairavi Officer PI Santosh Gholve and other dedicated police personnel. Despite the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Bhor Police Station team worked tirelessly to bring these criminals to justice.
It’s great to see justice being served in Pune, and we can only hope that cases like this will continue to be taken seriously and handled with the same level of dedication in the future. Stay safe out there, Pune!
