Hey there, folks in Pune! It looks like the cyber fraudsters are at it again, this time targeting unsuspecting victims with promises of big returns in the share market. In three separate cases, fraudsters managed to swindle a total of ₹90 lakh from innocent individuals in the city.

One victim, Sunil Rajaram Tembe, fell victim to the scam after being added to a WhatsApp group called D-3 ICICI Security Official Stock. Tembe was instructed to install an app and ended up losing ₹37.70 lakh between March and May this year. Initially, he did receive some returns on his investment, but things took a turn for the worse when he trusted the fraudsters with a larger sum of money.

Another victim, Shirish Shivray Gosavi, received a call from an unknown number and was persuaded to install the MARWADI FINANCIAL SERVICES MSFL app. Unfortunately, Gosavi ended up losing ₹33.80 lakh in a similar scam promising quick returns in share trading.

Nilesh Eknath Kadam also fell prey to the fraudsters and lost ₹19.23 lakh after being lured into a share trading investment scheme. A case has been registered against multiple individuals, including mobile users and app owners, who deceived Kadam and others into transferring money to their bank accounts.

It’s a stark reminder to always be cautious when it comes to financial investments and to never trust unknown individuals or apps promising unrealistic returns. Stay safe, Pune!
