Alright folks, let’s dive into the latest news from the election front in Pune district. Deputy district election officer Meenal Kalaskar has been keeping everyone in the loop about the recounting process that’s currently underway.
According to Kalaskar, a total of 11 candidates initially submitted applications for a recount. However, it seems there have been some changes in the lineup. Yugendra Pawar has decided to withdraw his application, leaving the count at 10 candidates in the running.
Out of these 10 hopefuls, seven candidates are still awaiting a decision from the court regarding their recount requests. As it stands, only three applications have been given the green light for recounting.
The election office will be taking charge of the recount for these three candidates, while the administration will be following the court’s instructions for the remaining seven applications. It’s all about dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s to ensure a fair and transparent electoral process.
Stay tuned for more updates as the recounting process unfolds in Pune district. And remember, every vote counts!
