It’s been a tough time for Pune residents as heavy rains have caused widespread flooding and infrastructure damage across the city. Multiple bridges, including Balewadi Bridge, Mula river Bridge, Sangam Road Bridge, Holkar Bridge, and others, are now submerged under water within the PMC limits.

Several societies and localities have been severely impacted, including Dwarka Society in Ekta Nagri, Anandnagar, Sinhagad Road, Sharad Sarovar Society, Sham Sundar Society, and others. Relief and rescue operations are in full swing, with the Disaster Management Cell providing necessary supplies to those stranded in their homes.

Tragically, three youths from Poolachiwadi near Bhide bridge in Deccan area lost their lives due to electric shocks caused by the flooding. The situation is further exacerbated by road closures, collapses, and structural damage in various areas, including Lavasa Road, Bhimashankar-Khed road, and Mauje Dasve in Mulshi Lavasa Lake City.

To ensure public safety, a 24-hour ban has been imposed on tourist places in response to the severe conditions. Relief efforts are ongoing, with the NDRF team mobilized for rescue operations in the affected areas. Stay safe, Pune.
