Hey there, folks! Today, we’ve got some heartwarming news to share with you on this special occasion of Teacher’s Day. Neha Vaz, the Head of Events and Strategic Alliances at Little Millennium preschools, has been honored with the Compassionate Educator Award by PETA India.

Neha’s journey towards animal welfare began with the rescue of her first kitten, Laura, back in 2012. Fast forward to 2014, she organized India’s first Vegan Fest, which was a huge success in promoting veganism and cruelty-free living.

At Little Millennium preschools, Neha has been actively integrating animal rights education into the curriculum. Her recent involvement in PETA India’s “Bowl of Care” campaign, where children were educated about the importance of hydration for community animals, reached over 2,400 kids in various cities.

Puja Mahajan, PETA India’s Director of Education and Youth Outreach, commended Neha for her dedication to teaching kindness and compassion to young minds. Neha’s efforts also extend to organizing educational visits for Ellie, PETA India’s animatronic elephant, who has reached over 3,600 students in different cities.

Thanks to Neha’s hard work, Ellie has inspired over 100,000 young learners to rethink the use of animals for entertainment. Her impact as an educator and animal rights advocate is truly making a difference in fostering empathy and compassion in children. Let’s all take a page from Neha’s book and work towards creating a more compassionate society for all beings.
