Pune-based entrepreneur Punit Balan has been recognized for his outstanding social work by the Southern Command of the Indian Army. The General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Ajai Kumar Singh, presented him with a certificate of appreciation for his work in various fields such as sports, health, arts, culture, and education.

Balan, who leads the Punit Balan Group and the Indrani Balan Foundation, has been actively involved in social work in the Kashmir Valley, collaborating with the Indian Army to run schools for special children in terror-hit areas. In addition, he has played a role in ensuring national security in cooperation with the Army.

The first Constitution Park in India has been established at the Southern Command in Pune through a partnership between the Indian Army and the Punit Balan Group. Balan’s efforts have been commended by the Southern Command, with the testimonial highlighting his work as an example for both the Army and citizens.

Acknowledging the honor bestowed upon him, Punit Balan expressed his gratitude to the Indian Army and emphasized the importance of working together to protect the country. He was previously recognized by the Central Command of the Indian Army and former Vice Chief Lieutenant General BS Raju.
