Hey there, folks! It’s time for some breaking news from Daund, as the Pune State Excise Department has hit a big win by seizing goods worth over Rs 30 lakh, including some fancy liquor imported all the way from Goa. Yep, you heard that right!

So, here’s the scoop – our vigilant heroes at the Daund Division were on high alert when they spotted two suspicious vehicles, a Mahindra Bolero Pikup and a Hyundai Creta, cruising down Moregaon-Supe Road. Upon questioning the drivers, it became clear that something fishy was going on. And guess what they found hidden under those innocent-looking mango boxes? Booze! Lots of it!

The foreign liquor, valued at a whopping Rs 12,61,000, along with the two vehicles and a couple of mobile phones, added up to a grand total of Rs 30,71,000. The culprits, Namdev Haribhau Khaire, Sandeep Baban Sanap, Gorakh Bhagwan Palve, and Mahesh Gulabrao Autade, all from Ahmednagar, were promptly arrested. Excise Sub Inspector Pradeep Jhunjruk is on the case, digging deeper into this boozy mystery.

This whole operation was carried out under the watchful eyes of Dr Vijay Suryavanshi, Commissioner of the Maharashtra State Excise Department, and Director Prasad Surve. With Deputy Commissioner Sagar Dhomkar and his trusty team by his side, including Superintendent Charan Singh Rajput and the Deputy Superintendents Uttamrao Shinde, Sujit Patil, and Santosh Jagdale, they cracked down on this illegal liquor trade.

Kudos to the team led by Excise Inspector Vijay Rokade, with the support of Excise Constables Shubham Bhoite, Keshav Vamane, Navnath Padwal, Ashok Patil, and Chandrakant Ingale. Keep up the good work, guys!

And that’s a wrap on this thrilling tale of booze busting in Daund. Stay tuned for more exciting updates!
