Hey there, Pune folks! Excise officials in your city have been busy cracking down on illegal liquor operations ahead of the New Year celebrations. In a recent operation, officials seized a whopping ₹1.2 crore worth of illegal liquor that was reportedly manufactured in Goa. Talk about a huge haul!

Not only did the officials manage to detain nine individuals in connection with the case, but they also confiscated a luxury bus and four other vehicles used to transport the illicit liquor. Looks like they were not taking any chances with these offenders.

Superintendent Charan Singh Rajput of the Pune State Excise Department mentioned that 21 teams have been formed to ramp up actions in order to prevent illegal liquor trade during the festive period. It’s great to see proactive measures being taken to ensure that everyone enjoys a safe and enjoyable New Year.
