The video of a woman brandishing a pistol and arguing with farmers in a village in Mulshi taluka has gone viral. The woman in the video is Manorama Khedkar, the mother of trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar. The incident took place on 5th June 2023 and involved a dispute over land owned by four farmers. One of the farmers claimed that the Khedkars connived with one of them to buy a portion of the land near their own. This led to arguments and eventually to the incident captured in the viral video. The police have taken cognizance of the video and are gathering information about the pistol used by Manorama Khedkar. Further action will be taken based on the statement of the concerned farmer who was threatened in the video.
