Chief Minister Eknath Shinde is on top of things, directing the NDRF and Indian Army to help out those stranded in floods. With more water expected to be released from the dam, the administration is on high alert.
Rain just won’t let up in Pune, with reports of heavy rainfall in surrounding areas like Bhor, Velhe, Maval, Mulshi, and Haveli talukas. The Khadakwasla Dam is spewing out around 40,000 cusecs of water, causing flooding in low-lying areas. The NDRF team is working hard to rescue citizens from these waterlogged spots.
DyCM Ajit Pawar isn’t sitting back either, holding a review meeting and issuing instructions to provide relief to affected areas. CM Shinde is also in the loop, coordinating with officials and ensuring help reaches those in need.
Shinde assures citizens that help is on the way, with NDRF boats deployed and plans in place to shift people to safer areas as the dam discharge increases. Pawar and District Collector Suhas Diwase are working together to ensure immediate assistance to affected residents.
