The decision came after a recent meeting of the Pune District Flour Mills Association, where they discussed various factors like inflation, financial viability, and the rising electricity rates. After much deliberation, the proposal to increase the rates was unanimously accepted by all attendees.
So, what are the new rates? Well, grinding cereal grains will now cost you Rs 8 per kg, while grinding pulses will set you back Rs 10 per kg. The Chairman of the Flour Mills Association, Dilip Ranaware, explained that the decision was made in light of the increased costs of grinding machine spare parts and electricity.
So, next time you’re enjoying your meal of chapati and bhakari, just remember that a little extra dough went into making them!
