The Bibwewadi community was left shocked and horrified when news broke that a four-year-old boy had been beaten to death by his mother’s boyfriend. The tragic incident unfolded after the child vomited on the boyfriend, Mahesh Kumbhar, who then flew into a rage and attacked the young boy with his hands and a broom.
The victim, Vedansh Kale, was rushed to Kamla Nehru Hospital in Mangalwar Peth by his mother, Pallavi, who concocted a false story that Vedansh had fallen from the bed and lost consciousness. However, the post-mortem report revealed the true cause of death, leading to the arrest of Mahesh Kumbhar by the Bibwewadi police.
Pallavi and Mahesh had been in a relationship for three months, with Pallavi recently moving to the Bibwewadi area. The fatal incident occurred on 1st September, following which Vedansh was first taken to the Civil Hospital in Nashik before being transferred to Kamla Nehru Hospital, where he tragically passed away.
The couple’s attempt to cover up the crime by lying about the circumstances of Vedansh’s death was brought to light by the post-mortem report. The Bibwewadi police have launched an investigation into the matter, seeking justice for the innocent child who lost his life in such a brutal manner.
