In a groundbreaking development, three third-year Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning students from GH Raisoni College of Engineering and Management (GHRCEM) in Pune have been selected for a prestigious internship at the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Arpeet Chandane, Devesh Mhaske, and Sahil Nichat earned this coveted opportunity as finalists of the Bharatiya Antariksh Hackathon 2024.

The Bharatiya Antariksh Hackathon, a 30-hour event organized by ISRO, saw a staggering 3,062 registrations from top engineering institutes across India, including IITs and NITs. After a rigorous selection process, only the top 30 teams were chosen to compete in the Grand Finale held at the National Remote Sensing Centre in Hyderabad on 13th and 14th August 2024.

Arpeet, Devesh, and Sahil impressed the judges with their innovative solutions and technical expertise, earning them a spot in the internship program at ISRO. They will now have the opportunity to work alongside some of the country’s leading scientists and engineers on cutting-edge space research projects.

Dr. R. D. Kharadkar, Campus Director of GHRCEM, expressed his pride in the students’ achievement, stating that securing an internship at ISRO is a significant milestone in their academic journey. He commended their hard work, creativity, and commitment to excellence.
