Hey Pune peeps, it’s time to get your wrestling game on! The Hindu Garjana Chashak Women’s and Men’s State-level Wrestling Contests have officially begun in our city. Organised by the Hindu Garjana Pratishthan and Punit Balan Group (PBG), this event is set to showcase some top-notch talent from various regions including Pimpri-Chinchwad, Baramati, Maval, Haveli, Shirur, and more.

With over 200 wrestlers participating in the junior categories and close to 100 in the senior categories, the competition is fierce. The tournaments are being held in collaboration with the Shikshan Prasarak Mandali and have received recognition from the Maharashtra Kustigir Sangh and the Pune Zilha Kustigir Sangh.

The action kicked off with bouts in the under-14 category at the SP College ground on Tilak Road. But that’s not all – a massive stadium has been set up for the event, complete with two mud wrestling arenas at the centre. The stadium can accommodate up to 10,000 spectators, so there’s plenty of room for all you wrestling enthusiasts.

And let’s not forget about the star-studded lineup of guests set to grace the event. DyCM Ajit Pawar will be inaugurating the tournaments, with State Higher and Technical Minister Chandrakant Patil and State Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Dattatraya Bharne in attendance.
