The German Theatre Competition held at the MES Auditorium in Pune was a vibrant display of talent and creativity. Approximately 150 students from nine schools and three colleges participated, showcasing their skills in exploring the themes of sustainability and diversity.

In the School Category, Dhruv English Medium School, Sus took home the first-place prize, followed by City Pride School, Nigdi in second place, and SPM Public English Medium School in third place. Claremont International School, Ashta received a consolation prize for their efforts.

In the College Category, the German Department of Savitribai Phule Pune University emerged as the winner, impressing the esteemed panel of judges which included Alicia Padros from Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhavan and Dr. Poonam Rawat and Dr. Surekha Vaidya from MES Senior College.

The performances were evaluated based on creativity, presentation, and linguistic proficiency, with the young participants delivering compelling acts that impressed both the audience and the jury. Alicia Padros’s words of encouragement to pursue art resonated with the budding artists, inspiring them to continue exploring the world of performing arts.

The successful collaboration between Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhavan and MES Senior College under the guidance of Dr. Ravindra Vaidya and Vaishali Dabke ensured the smooth execution of the event, fostering an environment of learning and cultural exchange.

The competition concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from Vaishali Dabke, acknowledging the dedication of all participants, organizers, and jury members in making the competition a memorable experience.
