Hey there folks, some dramatic twists and turns in the Pune Assault Case have left everyone scratching their heads. The victim, an IT engineer, has come forward with a bombshell affidavit stating that the accused attackers were not egged on by anyone, contradicting the Pune police’s earlier claims.

Notorious figure Gajanan Marne, who was allegedly involved in the attack, has been sent to judicial custody by a special court. This move comes after the victim clarified that no one besides the attackers was present during the incident and that it was not a premeditated assault.

The attack took place in the Bhelke Nagar area of Kothrud on 19th February, leading to the arrest of Gajanan Marne and five others under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act. Two suspects, Rupesh Marne and Babya Pawar, are still on the run.

Initially, Gajanan Marne surrendered to the police, who claimed he had incited the attackers with provocative phrases. However, the victim’s affidavit paints a different picture, stating that it was a misunderstanding and he had only filed a complaint against a few unknown individuals.

During court proceedings, the defense argued that Marne was not present at the scene and could not have encouraged the attack, a point supported by the victim’s sworn statement. As a result, Gajanan Marne is now in judicial custody, while three other accused individuals remain in police custody for further investigation.

Looks like this case is far from over, with more twists and turns likely to come. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
