Hey there, folks! Sad news coming out of Pimpri Chinchwad today. Prasad Gajanan Gosavi, a senior correspondent for the news portal ‘Policenama’ in Pune, sadly passed away yesterday. He had been in the hospital since July following a serious accident. But here’s the twist – after his passing, Prasad became the first journalist to donate his organs. Talk about a selfless act!

Prasad was involved in a nasty accident back in July near Khadki Railway Station while on his way home from work. Despite the best efforts of doctors, he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries and was declared brain dead. But his story doesn’t end there. His family made the courageous decision to donate his organs, and a Green Corridor was set up to transport his heart to another individual in need.

Thanks to Prasad’s generosity, his heart, lungs, liver, kidney, and eyes were all successfully donated, benefiting a total of five patients. His heart even found a new home in the body of an army man within hours of his passing. What a touching gesture in the midst of such a tragedy.

Prasad Gosavi will always be remembered as a trailblazer in the world of journalism, showing us all the power of compassion and giving back. Rest in peace, Prasad. Your legacy lives on.
