Hey there, folks! Today, we’ve got some shocking news coming out of Pune. A man named Amol Krishna Pande has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for luring a minor girl into marriage and assaulting her. Can you believe it?
Apparently, the girl used to take karate lessons from Amol, and he took advantage of that relationship to manipulate her into marrying him. He then took her to Vairag, where he committed the heinous act of assault. Luckily, the police were able to intervene and detain both the victim and the accused.
During the trial, Special Public Prosecutor Sandeep Ohol presented a strong case against Amol, with 11 witnesses testifying against him. The victim girl’s testimony and the medical officer’s report were crucial pieces of evidence that helped secure the guilty verdict.
Despite Amol’s claims that the girl had consented to the marriage, the court rightly pointed out that a minor’s consent is not legally valid. As a result, Amol was found guilty of his crimes.
The court also ordered that any fines imposed on Amol should be paid to the victim girl, who deserves justice and compensation for the trauma she endured. Kudos to Adv Swapnil Jagtap, Faujdar Nischal Shitole, Court Officer Namdev Nalavde, and Faujdar Vijay Zhargad for their efforts in bringing this case to justice.
Let’s hope that this verdict brings some peace to the victim girl and serves as a warning to others who might try to exploit vulnerable individuals. Stay safe out there, everyone!
