Today in Pune, a one-day event called Curb the Carbon Conclave: Transitioning to Sustainability was organized by Pune Knowledge Cluster (PKC), Samuchit Envirotech, and Center for Sustainable Development (CSD) at Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics. The aim of the event was to promote discussions on sustainable solutions towards de-carbonization.

Dr. Priya Nagaraj, CEO of PKC, highlighted the importance of the conclave in providing a platform for engagement, networking, and collaborative projects in the sustainability sector. Dr. Priyadarshini Karve, Founder-Director of Samuchit Envirotech, discussed the science, policy, and ethics of climate change, emphasizing the need for both adaptation and mitigation strategies.

Dr. Gurudas Nulkar, Director of CSD, spoke about the economic implications of climate change and the need for systemic changes to transition towards sustainability. The event was attended by over 60 experts and professionals from academia and industries, who engaged in Q&A sessions and networking to foster collaboration.
