Hey Pune peeps! If you’re a student from a backward class studying science in 12th grade this year, listen up! There’s a special campaign going on to verify your caste certificate. If you haven’t applied yet, now’s the time to do it.
Students from Scheduled Castes, De-notified Tribes, Nomadic Tribes, Other Backward Classes, Special Backward Classes, and Educationally and Socially Backward Classes (including Maratha) need to get their caste validity certificate verified. This is crucial for getting into professional courses like medicine, engineering, and more, as well as for availing of the government’s education fee and exam fee reimbursement schemes.
The deadline to apply for caste certificate verification was December 31, 2024, but many students in Pune haven’t done so yet. Don’t worry, a special campaign is happening to help you out as part of the 100-day target program by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
To apply, just fill out an online application on the website and submit a printed copy to the District Caste Certificate Verification Committee office. Let’s get this done, folks! Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Dane is urging all students to complete this process.
