Hey there Pune residents, listen up! Central Railway has some important news for you regarding a special traffic and power block that will be in place on the Up and Down lines for the replacement of Bridge No. 153/3 between Kamshet and Talegaon on the Pune Lonavala section. This block is scheduled to take place from 11.05 am to 3.35 pm on Sunday, 5th January 2025.
Now, you might be wondering how this will affect your train travel plans. Well, fret not because we’ve got all the details for you. First off, there will be no train cancellations or diversions, so that’s a relief. However, there will be some regulations in place for a few mail and express trains. Trains like the CSMT Mumbai-MGR Chennai Express, LTT-Kakinada Express, and others will be regulated by 15 to 30 minutes.
In addition to the regulations, there will also be some re-scheduling of mail and express trains. For example, the CSMT Mumbai-Kolhapur Koyna Express will leave CSMT Mumbai at 11.10 hrs instead of 08.40 hrs. Similarly, the train leaving Miraj will also have a new departure time of 08.20 hrs instead of 04.50 hrs.
And for all you suburban train users, please note that 5 services will be cancelled on Sunday, 5th January 2025. This includes trains like the Pune-Lonavala, Shivaji Nagar-Lonavala, and Lonavala-Pune services.
Remember, these blocks are necessary for the upkeep and safety of the railway infrastructure. So, we kindly request all passengers to bear with the Railway Administration for any inconvenience caused. Stay safe and plan your travels accordingly!
