Hey Pune peeps, exciting news on the metro front! Maha Metro is focusing on getting the Civil Court to Swargate stretch completed before diving into the Katraj extension, which just got the green light from the central government. Originally, we were expecting the Swargate line to be open this month, but it looks like the final touches are still being put in place. The good news is that Maha Metro is working on safety inspections with the CMRS to make sure everything is good to go, and they’re aiming to have the route up and running by mid-September. Fingers crossed for a smooth operation by the end of Ganeshotsav, right?
Back in February, there were trial runs between Civil Court and Swargate, so it’s great to see progress being made. And even though they’re focusing on Swargate for now, Maha Metro is gearing up to start work on the Katraj extension as well. Looks like Pune’s metro system is really making moves!
