Hey folks, great news for all you commuters in Pune! The Range Hills Chowk-Shivajinagar stretch is finally set to reopen after being closed for what feels like forever. The closure was all thanks to ongoing Metro construction, which forced everyone to take the long way around via Sinchan Nagar Road and Agriculture College. What a pain, right?
But fear not, because the end is in sight. Officials have confirmed that the Metro construction work on this stretch is almost done, which means we can all say goodbye to those dreaded detours. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for traffic, Amol Zende, announced that the road will be gradually opened over the next few days. Hallelujah!
To make sure everything goes smoothly, the traffic police are working closely with the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA), the ones behind the Metro construction. They’re also building two new Metro stations beyond Range Hills Chowk towards Shivajinagar. Talk about progress!
But wait, there’s more. Besides the Metro viaduct, there’s also a flyover being built in the same area. So yeah, things have been pretty chaotic for commuters coming from Aundh and Baner, with diversions starting way before SPPU Chowk. But hang in there, folks. Relief is on the way!
So get ready to say goodbye to those extra-long commutes and hello to a smoother ride. The Range Hills Chowk-Shivajinagar stretch is about to be back in action, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Happy driving, Pune!
