With the Yerawada Metro Station now up and running, commuters in Pune can expect a smoother and more efficient metro experience. The Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha Metro) has made key changes to accommodate the expected increase in passenger traffic.

One of the most notable adjustments is the increase in metro frequency during peak hours. Trains will now run every 7 minutes on both the Aqua Line, connecting Vanaz and Ramwadi, and the Purple Line, connecting PCMC Building and Pune District Court. This improvement from the previous interval of 7.5 minutes will ensure a more reliable service for commuters rushing to work or heading home.

The increase in frequency also means more daily metro trips for passengers. Trips between PCMC Building and Pune Court Station have been bumped up from 113 to 117, while trips from Vanaz to Ramwadi have increased from 114 to 118. During off-peak hours, from 6 AM to 8 AM, 11 AM to 4 PM, and 8 PM to 10 PM, trains will run every 10 minutes.

According to Shravan Hardikar, Managing Director of Maha Metro, these changes will bring about a host of benefits for passengers. Enhanced convenience, reduced waiting times, and increased capacity are just a few of the advantages commuters can expect to enjoy with the new and improved metro service.

Overall, the implementation of these changes at Yerawada Metro Station marks a significant step towards a more efficient and commuter-friendly public transportation system in Pune.
