1. Meet Dr. Thakur: From Journalist to Professor
   Dr. Thakur has had an impressive career in journalism, with experience working for Pune Daily, UNI, Indian Post, and The Observer of Business and Politics. But in 2001, he made a shift into academia by joining Savitribai Phule Pune University as a professor in Communication and Journalism.

2. Research and Publications
   During his time at the university, Dr. Thakur initiated various projects and promoted new research in the field of journalism. His PhD research focused on Indian newspaper web editions, and he has authored books such as "Newspaper English" and "Handbook on Print Journalism."

3. Honorary Positions
   After retiring, Dr. Thakur continued to share his knowledge and expertise as an honorary professor at institutions like Mudra Institute of Communication and Research in Ahmedabad, FLAME University, and Vishwakarma University. He also contributed to the Nanasaheb Parulekar Journalism Department at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.
