Hey there Pune peeps, have you noticed the growing garbage problem in our city? Well, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) sure has, and they’re taking action! Get ready for a massive city cleanup starting on the 9th of December in Zone 1.

With 1,500 employees being deployed at each ward office, the PMC is gearing up to tackle the unsanitary conditions on our roads, open spaces, dividers, pedestrian paths, and more. Dust, garbage, overgrown trees, and encroachments have made Pune a bit of a mess lately, but the PMC is determined to change that.

At a recent meeting, PMC Additional Commissioner Prithviraj BP discussed the upcoming cleanliness drive with officials from various departments. From the Health Department to the Garden Department, everyone is on board to make Pune spick and span again.

During the cleanup campaign, every PMC department will join forces to clean one regional office within two days. With additional manpower and a focus on removing garbage, posters, abandoned vehicles, and more, this drive is set to make a real difference.

But the PMC can’t do it alone – they’re calling on schools, colleges, and social organizations to get involved too. So get ready to roll up your sleeves and help make Pune a cleaner, greener place to live. Let’s do this, Pune!
