Hey Pune peeps, remember the planetarium at E-Learning School in Sahakar Nagar that shut down a few years back? Well, get ready to gaze at the stars again because the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has decided to reopen it after four long years!
The PMC recently approved a proposal to appoint an agency for the purpose of reopening the planetarium. A whopping Rs 61,65,500 will be spent over five years to ensure that the facility is up and running smoothly. The planetarium will be using software developed by Fulldome Pro company, so you can expect a top-notch experience.
The PMC failed to renew the software in the past, which led to the closure of the planetarium. But now, the agency responsible for reopening the facility will be checking the software, conducting repairs, and redesigning the program to make it even better than before.
The agency will also be designing 27 programs in Marathi, Hindi, and English for the planetarium, catering to a wide audience. The PMC plans to reopen the facility during the summer holidays, so mark your calendars!
So, get ready to embark on a cosmic journey once again at the planetarium in Sahakar Nagar. Stay tuned for more updates as the reopening date approaches. Happy stargazing, Pune! 🌌ðŸ”
