Hey there, folks! Big news coming your way – Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has decided to install CCTV cameras in schools to address concerns about safety and security. This decision was made in response to feedback from citizens and parents regarding the presence of anti-social elements on school premises.

The main goal of this initiative is to enhance the security of girl students and improve the overall infrastructure of schools. The plan is to cover schools in both the city and the 32 newly merged villages.

According to Manisha Shektakar, Head of the Electrical Department at PMC, the installation of CCTV cameras will be completed by the end of March. The remaining schools will be covered next year. She emphasized that the priority is to secure all-girls schools under PMC’s jurisdiction. In fact, cameras have already been installed in 60 co-ed schools as part of this initiative.

So, there you have it – a step towards making schools safer for our students. Stay tuned for more updates on this important development!
