Have you ever had a bad experience with a financial institution? Well, it seems like the residents of Pune have had their fair share of troubles with the Ninad Urban Credit Cooperative Society. The Chairman and Managing Director, along with other directors, have been accused of not returning savings accounts, fixed deposits, and the interest on them to account holders and depositors.

The accused, including prominent figures like Uday Joshi and his wife Shubhada Joshi, are facing charges for their alleged misconduct. This isn’t the first time Uday Joshi has been in trouble – he was previously booked for deceiving investors with promises of high returns in a gas agency scheme.

One particular victim, Pratibha Vilas Panse, had over Rs 18.15 lakh locked in a fixed deposit that was not returned even after its maturity. When she tried to retrieve her money, she was met with arrogance and dismissiveness. Eventually, she had to turn to the police for help.

It’s a cautionary tale for all of us – always do your due diligence before trusting your hard-earned money with any financial institution. Don’t fall for promises of high returns without thoroughly researching the credibility of the organization. It’s better to be safe than sorry!
