Hey Pune folks, listen up! It looks like we’re in for some major water discharge from the Panshet Dam today. With the water level rising and heavy rainfall in the catchment area, a whopping 5,080 cusecs of water is set to be released at 1 PM. That’s a lot of water, folks!

The Khadakwasla Irrigation Department is keeping a close eye on the situation and may adjust the discharge rate based on the weather and water levels. So, it’s better to be safe than sorry. They’ve issued a safety advisory for all of us to follow.

First off, stay away from the riverbed. And if you have any belongings or pets near the river, get them out of there ASAP. If you live in low-lying areas, make sure to inform and evacuate your neighbors. And most importantly, be cautious and vigilant at all times.

The Executive Engineer of the Khadakwasla Irrigation Department is urging everyone to take these safety measures seriously to avoid any potential dangers. So, let’s all be responsible citizens and stay safe during this water discharge.
