Are you ready for the annual Palkhi procession of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj? Well, get ready for some good news because the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has got your back with additional buses to handle the crowds coming in from all over the state. From June 26th to June 30th, 2024, you can expect enhanced bus services to make your commute a breeze.

106 extra buses will be in operation during this period, covering key locations like Swargate, Pune Station, Hadapsar, Nigdi, Bhosari, Hinjewadi, and Pimpri-Chinchwad. And on June 29th, services to Alandi will be extended until midnight to ensure everyone can get to their destination hassle-free.

For those heading to Dehu, PMPML has you covered with 30 buses from Pune Station, M.N.P., and Nigdi. And if you need to travel between Dehu and Alandi, there will be 12 buses available for your convenience.

On the big day, June 30th, 2024, when the Palkhi procession kicks off from Alandi, you can catch 27 extra buses starting from 2:30 AM from Swargate, Pune Station, and Hadapsar. Regular services from various bus stands in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad will start from 5:30 AM, totaling 106 buses for your transportation needs.

During the Palkhi’s halt at Hadapsar on July 2nd, 2024, PMPML will have special bus services running from Mahatma Gandhi Bus Stand to Pune Station, Warje Malwadi, Kothrud Depot, Nigdi, Chinchwad, and Alandi. Additional services from Shivarkar Garden to Kharadi, Chandannagar, and Wagholi will also be available to cater to all devotees.

As the Palkhi procession moves on via Solapur and Saswad Road, bus services will adjust accordingly. While the regular route from Hadapsar to Saswad will be closed, an alternate route via Bopdev Ghat will be operational with 60 additional buses from Swargate, Pune Station, and Hadapsar.
