Hey Pune peeps, big news coming your way! The Pune Mahametro Rail Corporation has officially launched its metro service from Swargate to Pimpri, making commuting a whole lot easier for everyone. And guess what? The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) is stepping up its game too.

In order to provide better connectivity and more frequent services for metro passengers, PMPML has decided to shake things up a bit. Starting Friday, October 11, 2024, they will be discontinuing several bus routes to Swargate Metro Station. But don’t worry, it’s all for the greater good!

Here are the bus routes that will be affected:
1. Metro Shuttle No. 13: Say goodbye to the route from Upper Depot to Civil Court Shivajinagar. But hey, now you’ll have more buses coming your way with an average journey time of 30 minutes.
2. Bus Route No. 38: The route from Dhankawadi to Na Ta Wadi will no longer go to Swargate Metro Station. But fear not, the service has been ramped up to 68 trips, running every 10 minutes.
3. Bus Route No. 216: If you used to catch this bus from Bharti Vidyapeeth to Shivaji Nagar, you’ll now have to hop off at Swargate Metro Station. But with 32 trips and an average frequency of 15 minutes, you won’t be waiting long.
4. Bus Route No. 297: Good news for those traveling from Rajesh Society to Shivaji Nagar – this route will now include a stop at Swargate Metro Station. Expect a bus every hour and 30 minutes, with 6 extra trips added.

PMPML is urging students, workers, employees, and women to take advantage of these new and improved bus services. It’s all about making your commute smoother and more efficient. So hop on board and enjoy the ride!
