Planning to attend the Koregaon Bhima Vijaystambh greeting ceremony this New Year’s Eve? Well, you’re in luck! The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has got your back with a special free bus service to make your journey hassle-free.
Starting from 4 pm on Tuesday, December 31, until midnight on Wednesday, January 1, PMPML will be running buses across multiple routes in the Lonikand and Shikrapur divisions. This initiative aims to accommodate the thousands of devotees who flock to Perne on Nagar Road for the annual Vijaystambh greeting ceremony.
In the Lonikand division, 75 buses will be operational on Tuesday evening, covering routes such as Tulapur Phata, Lonikand Wrestling Ground, Khandoba Mal, Chinchwan, Phulgaon School, and Perne village. The next day, 250 buses will be deployed to handle the increased number of attendees.
Over in the Shikrapur division, 140 buses will start running from 7 am on Tuesday, connecting Shikrapur Road, Jeet Parking Waqf Board, and Pimple Jagtap Chakan Road to the ceremony site. Additionally, 10 buses will operate from Vadhu Parking Inamdar Hospital to Vadhu village. On Wednesday, 350 buses will continue to ensure smooth transportation for devotees.
To make things even more convenient, PMPML will also be providing additional buses from key locations across the city. So whether you’re at Pune Railway Station Moledina Bus Stand, Manpa Bhawan Bus Stand, Dapodi Mantri Niketan, Dhole Patil Road Manpa School, Upper Depot Bus Stand, or Pimpri Ambedkar Chowk, there will be buses to take you to the ceremony.
With a total of 75 additional buses from these locations, PMPML is committed to ensuring a seamless travel experience for all attendees.
