In a shocking turn of events, the Pune Police revealed that the grandfather of the accused minor in the Porsche car crash case had coerced the family’s driver to take the blame for the accident. Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar disclosed that the Agarwals had bribed and threatened the driver, Gangaram Poojari, to falsely claim responsibility for the crash that claimed the lives of two techies on May 19.

According to Kumar, the driver was held captive at the Agarwal residence for two days and pressured to provide a statement implicating himself as the driver of the luxury car during the accident. Despite the threats and cash offers, Poojari refused to comply. Surendra Kumar Agarwal was arrested and remanded to police custody, while his son Vishal Agarwal is currently in judicial custody.

The driver’s wife and relatives raised an alarm when he did not return home, leading to his release from confinement. Poojari’s statement to the police implicated the minor boy as the actual driver of the Porsche at the time of the crash. Agarwal’s attempt to shift blame onto the driver backfired, resulting in Poojari being hailed as a key witness in the case.

During a court hearing, Vishal Agarwal reiterated the false claim that Poojari was driving the car, but the driver’s testimony refuted this. Poojari expressed fear and trauma from his ordeal with the Agarwal family and has been provided with police security as a precaution.

The entire Agarwal family is facing legal trouble in connection with the fatal accident, with the minor boy detained at a juvenile correctional home until June 5. A candlelight vigil is planned in memory of the deceased techies, and two policemen have been suspended for alleged negligence related to the case.

The incident has sparked outrage among the public, with many demanding justice for the victims and accountability for those involved in the cover-up. The high-profile case has captured national attention and raised concerns about the misuse of power and influence in criminal investigations.
