The police seized a total of 1,620 litres of petrol and diesel, valued at over Rs 48 lakh. The six individuals arrested spilled the beans and revealed that they were following orders from the tanker owner, who is currently on the run. The operation was carried out under the guidance of some top brass, including Additional Commissioner of Police (East) Manoj Patil and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 5) R. Raja. The Detection Branch, led by Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Karankot, played a crucial role in bringing these criminals to justice.
