For the safety of those visiting Baner Hill, information boards with emergency contacts will be placed along popular routes to the hill. A new Police Assistance Center will also be established in Baner for prompt response in case of any emergencies.
To further enhance security measures, plans are in place to install CCTV cameras along Baner Hill for improved surveillance. Additionally, a Public Address (PA) system and high mast lights will be installed near the Kalpataru Jade area for better visibility during nighttime.
Residents are advised to avoid visiting Baner Hill from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. for their safety, and the formation of local volunteer safety groups is encouraged to monitor activity on the hill. The Baner Hill Safety Group members, Kalyani Tokekar, Nikita Matade, and Jagruti Vichare, were in attendance at a recent meeting where they showed their support for the police’s new safety measures.
Senior Inspector Bolkotgi emphasized the importance of community engagement and committed to further enhancing public safety on Baner Hill. Residents have responded positively to the initiative, and plans are in place to hold additional awareness meetings in the future to ensure the safety and security of all.
