Hey there, folks! Today we’ve got some exciting news coming out of Pune, where fourth-year law students from Christ University Lavasa Campus embarked on a unique educational visit to 14 police stations in the city. The idea behind this initiative was to give these soon-to-be legal eagles a taste of real-world law enforcement operations, beyond just what they learn in the classroom.

Thanks to the support of Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar and Joint Police Commissioner Ranjan Kumar Sharma, the students got the chance to shadow senior officers and station in-charges as they navigated the ins and outs of the police stations. From filing FIRs to understanding the workings of the cyber cell, these budding lawyers got a firsthand look at how the law is enforced on the ground.

Led by Father Lijo Thomas, along with other faculty members like Father Justin P. Varghese and Dr. Anto Sabastian, the students were split into groups and sent to different police stations across Pune. Places like Chaturshingi, Deccan, and Yerwada were just a few of the stops on their tour, where they learned about everything from maintaining police diaries to weapons management.

Overall, this initiative was a fantastic way for these students to bridge the gap between theory and practice, and we can’t wait to see how this experience shapes their future careers in law. Kudos to all involved for making this educational visit a success!
